Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how PT Ekosistim Indo Digital (“Company”, “we”) collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you access the website www.e.id, mobile application, APIs, and related services and features (“Services”). This policy applies to all Services that link to this document and does not apply to third-party websites that have different policies.

Access Conditions

Access to the Application and all Services provided by PT Ekosistim Indo Digital (“Company”) is only permitted for Users who possess official identification (such as a national ID card or passport) that is valid and generally recognized in the Republic of Indonesia or the relevant jurisdiction.

What We Collect

We may collect the following information, either directly or indirectly:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and other identifying data
  • Authentication data from third-party accounts (e.g., Google, Apple)
  • Verified digital identity information such as a Decentralized Identifier (DID) or blockchain wallet address
  • Additional information obtained from third-party verification partners
  • Technical data such as IP address, device type, browser, location, and log data

Use of Personal Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Manage, operate, and improve the Services
  • Verify identity and publish information to the blockchain network
  • Deliver administrative, technical, and security-related notifications
  • Respond to questions, support requests, or user feedback
  • Send information related to our products, promotions, or activities
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or policy violations
  • Facilitate decentralized digital identity interoperability

Important note: Certain information (such as data hashes, pointers, or verifiable credentials) may be published to the blockchain network. Due to the immutable nature of blockchain, such data cannot be deleted once published.

Processing and Legality

All processing is carried out in accordance with:

  • Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection (PDP Law)
  • Blockchain-based interoperability and security standards (DID, VC)

Sharing of Personal Information

We may share your personal information in the following situations:

  • With your consent, including when you publish data to the blockchain
  • In connection with business transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, or company dissolutions
  • For legal compliance or law enforcement processes
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of ourselves or others
  • In emergency situations to protect individuals
  • To service providers working for us under confidentiality obligations

Retention and Deletion

The Company will retain Users' Personal Data as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of processing as set out in this Policy, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Data recorded on the blockchain network (such as identity hashes, transaction logs, or pointers to verifiable credentials) is immutable and will be stored permanently as part of the core functionality of blockchain technology.

The Company will delete or destroy your Personal Data if:

  • The processing purpose has been fulfilled;
  • The retention period has expired;
  • You have lawfully withdrawn your consent;
  • The data is proven to be irrelevant, inaccurate, or obtained unlawfully;
  • Requested by an authorized authority through a legal order.
